Over a century in the orchard
George Apted came to Australia from England more than a century ago. His son Leslie’s name still appears on our wooden fruit crates - a little piece of family history woven into the working orchard.
Today, the Apted family continues growing apples, pears and quinces at Arthurs Creek and Kinglake West, with a fourth generation involved in the business.
From tending the trees to packing the fruit to welcoming you to the orchard, it’s a story of people as much as produce.
